This house was designed and built on speculation for R.S. Granoff's sister company, Charles Rich Development Corp. The challenge was to work within the confines of the market - mostly "post-modern" builder's houses - while creating a unique home that would attract a buyer. The 4-bedroom/5-bath home contains 4,000 s.f., a two-car garage and swimming pool on a dramatic sloping two-acre lot. The use of large windows, French doors, covered porches and mahogany decks creates a very open feel in all of the rooms. Interesting details include cherry wood floors, a two-story cherry-paneled great room fireplace and an exterior cedar pergola planted with wisteria. The house was sold upon completion in early 2001 for $1.5 million.
